The deal is with Bullen’s music publishing company QDB Music and The Pangaea Music House, the publishing division of Pangaea Media & Music Inc., helmed by President/Executive Producer Tony Tobias. QDB Music owns and controls hundreds of songs and compositions written or co-written and recorded by Bullen and many other writers and artists.
The deal also involves Bullen’s label Thunder Dome Sound, which owns a catalogue of released recordings by such artists as Coldjack, Glen Ricketts, Marisa Lindsay, Joaquin Nunez Hidalgo, and Anslem Douglas (“Who Let the Dogs Out”). The label also includes four Smooth Jazz albums from Bullen including his just released album Eddie Bullen: Spice Island.
Plans are underway for expanding the music sphere for the QDB and Thunder Dome Sound catalogues as well as the development of new artists.
The deal also brings extra value since Bullen owns a state of the art recording studio also called Thunder Dome Studio. It is here that he puts on his award winning producer-arranger hat to work with numerous up-and-coming artists. To date Bullen has produced well over 150 albums.
In entering into the deal, Tobias comments: “Eddie and I have been working together for several years on a variety of projects. We even spent six weeks together in Beijing during the 2008 Olympics working on the ArtsGames and four related TV shows with producer Sylvia Sweeney. We have developed a solid trust and friendship and have personally experienced one another in action, creatively and business wise. We have been talking about this for quite some time.”
